It's important to occasionally jump on the band wagon just too see what it's all about, and in this case, i'm glad I did. I love my hot lemon, ginger and turmeric pick me up, but this chai latte with turmeric is a great alternative. Apparently coconut is a great conduit for turmeric absorption, so with a pinch of black pepper for the piperine, you should be getting the most from this amazing root herb as well as a deeply satisfying drink. Blend a mug of coconut milk, a dessert spoon each of freshly grated ginger and turmeric root (or a teaspoon of dried turmeric powder) a teaspoon of coconut oil, one clove, half a teaspoon of cinnamon and the seeds from a ​cardamom pod. Whizz it all up so that it's frothy, then warm gently through in a pan. Really gently though, and do not let it boil. Sprinkle some cinnamon on the top for an extra healthy kick and back to your desk you go...
