Ingredients: 1 tbsp of oats per person * 1 tsp chia or linseeds per person * plant or dairy milk * 1 tbsp fresh or frozen berries per person * pinch of cinnamon powder *sunflower or pumpkin seeds + live yoghurt to serve
Soak the oats and chia or linseeds in milk or water over night wih a pinch of cinnamon. You could also use apple juice. In the morning, add the berries & and gently heat. When you're ready, serve with a dollop of yoghurt & some pumpkin or sunflower seeds, and another pinch of cinnamon and any other fruit you like.
This storecupboard breakfast is full of protein, fibre, essential fats and Vitamin C rich fruit. Cinnamon aids blood sugar balancing. Don't worry if you forget to soak the oats.. you can make it just as well the next day!
