Spicy Nut Mix

Nuts make a quick and easy snack - and this dish is great with a sharp green apple, or as pre-dinner nibble. You will need:


 
1 cup of mixed nuts - pecans, almonds, pistachios, cashews, Brazil nuts, walnuts * 1/4 tsp chili powder / cayenne pepper * 1/2 tsp smoked paprika * 1/4 tsp coarse salt * 1/4 tsp cumin powder * 1/4 tsp gound black pepper * 1 tbsp olive oil


 
Method
 
Preheat your oven to 160c. Mix the spices together in a small bowl & set aside * Spread the nuts out on a baking sheet & roast for 8 minutes * Remove to a bowl & toss with the oil * Add the spices & stir * Return to the oven for another 3 minutes * Allow cool before eating!
 
Make double quantities & store in an airtight jar. These nuts are a healthy protein rich snack you can really look forward to. Nice with a sliced apple!
